Offrampt is an independent guide for people who get paid in crypto and need to turn it into spendable local money — written from Chiang Mai, Thailand, by people doing exactly that.
Why Offrampt exists
It started with a payment. Paying someone based in Thailand who had no Thai bank turned out to be cheaper in crypto than through US banking — and then the network confusion (native Bitcoin versus a Base 0x address) nearly stranded the money. That small, real headache made the gap obvious: getting paid in crypto is easy, but turning it into money you can spend without a friendly local bank is full of expensive traps nobody maps clearly.
So we mapped it. Offrampt is that map — starting where we live, in Thailand, and expanding to other places nomads and expats land.

This matters, so it's stated plainly. Offrampt informs and refers. It does not hold, move, exchange, convert, or take custody of anyone's crypto or cash — ever. You deal with every exchange, P2P desk, and card issuer directly; we just tell you which roads exist and where the potholes are.
That line is deliberate. The moment a site starts custodying or moving people's money, it becomes a money transmitter and needs licensing. Offrampt stays on the information side of that line — like a good travel guide tells you which trains run without selling you the ticket.
